Pitcher of the Week

May 30

Greg Smith - Weymouth Phillies

Smith was 5-9 (.556) on the week with 6 RBI and a Grand Slam (1).

Frank Vlacha - Middleboro Bolts

In his CBL debut Vlacha had a perfect game through 7 innings and a no hitter for 7 2/3. He went 8+ innings but was the hard luck loser as the Plymouth Pirates won the game 1-0.

June 6

Tom Huddleston, Braintree

Tom was 7-14 on the week (.500).  He scored 7 runs had 3 RBI's, 2 doubles and 6 SB's.  Huddleston is the league leader in hits (11), SB (10), Runs (11), and OBP (.571). 

Phil Towne, Foxboro - threw a 2 hit shut out against the Plymouth Pirates on Tuesday.   Town stuck out 10 and walked only 1. 
 
Eric Haughn, South Shore - had a CG 2 hit shut out vs Plymouth.  Haughn struck out 12 and walked none.

John Granahan - Rockland Cardinals

John was 6-for-13 while scoring 4 runs, he had 2 RBI, 2 doubles and 2 stolen bases in four games.

Frank Vlacha - Middleboro Bolts

Frank threw a complete game 1 hit shutout vs the Easton Huskies striking out 6.

June 20

Sean Riley, Easton

Sean was 9-15 (.600) on the week.  He scored 6 runs, drove in 6 runs and stole 2 bases.

Shane O'Donnell, Plymouth

O'Donnell threw a complete game shutout victory over Middleboro striking out 6.  The Pirates won 1-0.

June 27

Frank Curreri, Braintree White Sox

Frank was 5 for 10 (.500) while scoring 4 runs.  Frank also had 7 walks and he had 3 stolen bases.

Josh Sullivan, Rockland Cardinals

Josh threw a no-hitter against Brockton on Wednesday night. He walked one batter and struck out ten.

July 4

Kevin Lyons, Braintree

Kevin was 6-12 on the week with a HR, triple and 8 RBI.

Pat Driscoll, Weymouth

Pat threw 4 2/3 innings in relief to get the win as Weymouth beat Rockland 4-3 in 10 innings.   Of the 14 outs he recorded 12 were strikeouts
