Anthony Melchionda

Braintree White Sox

 

Melchionda was 9-15 on the week with 4 runs batted in.   He had 2 doubles and a homer leading Braintree to a 4-0 week.

Easton Huskies

 

The Huskies defeated the Weymouth Phillies 1-0 behind Lucier's scoreless 6 inning 8 strike performance.

June 7

Casey Askeland

Brockton Dirtdogs

 

The CBL's leading hitter (.588) had a big week for the Dirt Dogs.   Askeland was 7-12 with a 2B, 3B, HR and 9 RBI. 

Tom Feltrup

Weymouth Phillies

The Knuckleballer threw a 1 hit shut out against the Kingston Pirates striking out 6 and walking 1.   Weymouth won the game 2-0. 

June 14

Nick Asselin

Braintree White Sox

 

Asselin threw a CG victory vs. the Rockland Cardinals this week to lead the undefeated Braintree White Sox.  Asselin is 2-0 with a 0.82 ERA on the season.

Zack Walker

Canton A's

 

Walker pitched the A's to a CG victory over the Weymouth Phillies on Sunday.   He struck out 4 and walked none while yielding only 1 earned run. 

June 21

Chuck Erickson

Brockton Dirtdogs

 

Erickson batted .600 for the week with 2 HR's and 5 RBI.  

Marc Doyle

Rockland Cardinals

The Cardinals veteran lefthander threw 1 hit complete game victory of the Weymouth Phillies.   Doyle struck out 6 and gave up only 1 earned run. 

June 28

Matt Hamlet

Braintree White Sox

 

Hamlet had a big week for the undefeated White Sox.   He batted 6-10 (.600) with 3 HR's and 9 RBI.   Hamlet is batting .430 on the year and is leading the league with 17 RBI. 

Jared Clement

Canton A's

 

The veteran lefthander lead the White Sox with a complete game victory against the Dirtdogs and he pitched the 7th inning to earn a save against the Easton Huskies.

July 5

Anthony Melchionda

Braintree White Sox

 

Melchionda picks up his second POTW on the season going 6 for 12 this week with a homer, three RBI and five runs scored.

The veteran lefthander lead the White Sox with a complete game victory against the Dirtdogs and he pitched the 7th inning to earn a save against the Easton Huskies. 

July 12

John Granahan

Rockland Cardinals

 

Granahan went 6-8 on the week with 4 runs scored and 2 RBI. The veteran 3rd baseman also appeared in the EMASS Amateur Baseball Classic and was injured in game 1 but returned to play in the championship game for the short-handed CBL All Stars.

Greg Sherman

Brockton Dirtdogs

Sherman lead the Dirt Dogs to their 3rd win of the season with a CG 1 hit shut out of the     Kingston Pirates.   Sherman walked 1 and struck out 7 on the way to his first victory of the season.

July 19

Danny Rodriguez

Weymouth Phillies

 

Rodriguez lead the Phillies to a big final week with 7 RBI and 3 doubles.   The MVP candidate finished the regular season with a .390 batting average.

Dan Meeken  and Jeff Blount

Kingston Pirates

Both Meeken and Blout threw complete game shut outs vs. the 1st place Braintree White Sox to finish the regular season on a positive note.   Meeken gave up only 4 hits while striking out 8 and Blout gave up just 2 hits with 7 K's. 

July 26
