Pitcher of the Week

May 30

Matt Foley

Brockton Dirt Dogs

 

Foley was 5-9 (.556) this week with a double and a HR.   The Seekonk native also had 3 RBI and scored twice.

Stephen Pike

Easton Huskies

 

The Huskies got off to a fast 4-0 start this week thanks to Pike.   The Stonehill product threw 5 innings over 3 games and recorded 2 wins and a save for the undefeated Huskies.  

June 6

Eric Turgeon

Braintree White Sox

 

Turgeon had a big week for the undefeated White Sox as he batted 5-10 (.500) with 2 home runs and 5 RBI's.   He is currently batting .444 on the season.

 

Nate Koneski

Braintree White Sox

Koneski gave up 1 hit over 5 innings in a 10-0 victory over the Whitman Nationals.    He struck out 8 and walked none.  

June 13

George Agostini

Acushnet Aztecs 


The Aztecs went 3-0 this week behind the play of Agostini.   The Rehoboth native was 5-9 (.555) on the week with 2 RBI and 3 Runs scored.   

Eric Johnson

Quincy Phillies
 

Johnson was dominant in his outing this week vs. the Kingston Pirates.   He threw a complete game shut out allowing just 2 hits and striking out 10.   He is currently has a 1.72 ERA for the season.

June 20

Eddie Bowler

Quincy Phillies 


Bowler had a big week for the Phillies going 8-15 with 7 RBI's.   The HIngham native also hit his 1st career CBL homer against the Rockland Cardinals.   

Ryan Quigley

Easton Huskies
 

The former Northeastern Huskies had a complete game shutout this week vs. the Whitman Nationals.   He scattered 4 hits while striking out 10.

June 27

                  Christian Baglini - Easton

The leagues leading hitter had a big week for the Huskies batting .642 (9-14).   Baglini had a 2B, 3B, HR, and 9 RBI's as the Huskies improved to 12-6 on the season. 

                Casey Askeland - Quincy

The veteran slugger lead the Phillies this week going 7-14 (.500) with 7 RBI's.   In game 1 on Sunday against the Whitman Nationals Askeland was 4-5 with 2 HR's.

Nate Koneski

Braintree White Sox
 

Koneski earns the Pitcher of the Week honor for the 2nd time this season.   He threw a CG shutout of the Rockland Cardinals striking out 9.   He has yet to yield an earned run all season.   

July 4

Steve Dilanian

Canton A's

 

The veteran outfielder had a big week for the A's going 6-10 (.600) with a triple, HR and 4 RBI.

 

Eric Johnson

Quincy Phillies
 

The right-hander defeated the Brockton Dirt Dogs on Sunday going 7 innings and striking out 8. 

July 11

Christian Baglini

Easton Huskeis

Christian hit a 3 run walk off home run against the Intercity League to put the CBL in the title game of the EMass Amateur Baseball Classic.  

Zach Smith

Braintree White Sox
 

Smith threw the 1st CG no-hitter of the season as he defeated the Kingston Pirates.  He had 10 stike outs and issued no walks. 

July 18

Brett Holmgren

Acushnet Aztecs

 

Holmgren batted 8-13 (.615) with 4 doubles this week.   He also added 4 RBI's as the Aztecs locked up the #3 seed in the CBL playoffs.

Zach Smith

Braintree White Sox
 

Smith picks up his 2nd consecutive Pitcher of the Week award.   The righty improved to 5-0 by knocking the Dirt Dogs out of playoff contention with a 1 hit 8 strikeout performance.
